Senior Pastor: Damien Williams
Pastor Damien N. Williams grew up in Dallas, Texas and attended Dallas Public Schools graduating with honors from David W. Carter High School. He is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University having earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies and a Master of Arts in Christian Education. Pastor Williams is pursuing a Doctorate in Ministry Degree at Anderson University (Clamp Divinity School) in Anderson, South Carolina and holds certificates in Dispute Resolution and Title IX.
Serving in ministry since 1997, Pastor Williams is a much sought-after speaker in both churches and schools. He served as Youth Pastor at the Historic New Hope Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas and St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church also in Dallas. He was featured in Gospel Today magazine as one of the world's "Most Loved Pastors" in November 2003. He has served as Pastor of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Cason, Texas, Kilgore Baptist Church in Kilgore, Texas, Executive/Assistant Pastor of Sweet Home Baptist in Round Rock, Texas, Pastor of New Generation Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas, was founding/lead pastor of The Word Church DFW, Senior Pastor of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas and most recently called to be the Fourteenth Senior Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Dallas. Pastor Williams is currently on the Board of Directors for the Southeast Area of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and founder of Damien Williams Ministries, Inc.
Pastor Williams worked for the Federal Government as a student intern for the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights, served as the First-Generation College Student Coordinator and Communities in Schools Coordinator at Northeast Texas Community College. He has served as the Dean of Students and Athletic Director at Texas College in Tyler, Texas. He has served as the Director of the Educational Talent Search Program, Academic Coordinator/Program Counselor for the Upward Bound Program, and Professor of Religion at Jarvis Christian College, Dean of Students at Tyler Junior College, Vice President for Enrollment Management at Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas and Vice President for Student Services at Southern West Virginia Community & Technical College in Logan, West Virginia. Pastor Williams is a member of the Biltmore Who's Who.
Pastor Williams is married to Dr. LaStassia Williams, a registered nurse, and has five children, Jernecia, Peyton, Paige, Parker and Paxton.
